IRENE AILIN WANG

Irene Ailin Wang (b.1992 in China) is currently based in New York. As a multidisciplinary artist, her work serves as a metaphorical elegy and introspection of identity as a woman, drawing on her own personal experiences. Painting is her primary medium, but her artistic process is fluid, constantly moving back and forth between traditional Asian stories and contemporary gender issues. Prior to pursuing her career in the arts, she worked in finance and was a visiting student at Yale University. Her work has been exhibited in Washington DC and Manhattan, and she has had a solo exhibition at Roosevelt Island.
